Hello everyone,
I’d like to better understand how the “Pre Out” function works on AV receivers.
Is the signal passed directly through without alteration, or does it undergo processing?
I’m planning to build a 5.2 setup using monoblock amplifiers, all powered via the Pre Out connections. My question is: will the choice of receiver brand (Yamaha, Marantz, Anthem, etc.) make a noticeable difference in sound quality when using Pre Outs? Or are Pre Outs essentially unprocessed, making the brand less relevant in this case?
