It's lovely cable. Natural and musically involving. Since I have no idea what it would retail for I'll talk in terms of absolutes as I hear it .

It has a superb sense of realism.. the timbre of instruments is largely palpable and enjoyable. Bass is extended, nicely detailed and timing is fine. At the top end it's even better: open, smooth and clear. Katie Melua's vocals on lack that hissy sibilance you can hear with some cables for example, and there's a real sense of presence.

Soundstage is deep but not so wide, ending at the outside edge of each speaker. Monolith, Solid and Metamorphosis are better in that regard.

Specifically with regard to Monolith since you asked about it: Monolith is faster and more open. The monocrystal version even more so, and is smoother. This cable though has more bass extension, texture and a fuller, but slightly darker sound. Perhaps more “musical” though. Monolith is more articulate and has far better soundstage and space around the notes.

If there's an issue it's mainly in the midrange/upper mid region. There's a bit of grain, a metallic edge and it get's a bit muddled/compressed when the music gets busy. Try Esbjorn Svennson Trio – Dodge the Dodo on the ACT label.

I think the cable needs more time to settle (it sounds “new” if you know what I mean). Can you leave it with me a bit longer so I can put more hours on it?

Right now I'd say it's easily a £500-700 RRP artisan cable at a guess?? It might ultimately be better than my Townshend Fractal F1 _http://hifipig.com/townshend-audio-f1-stereo-rca-interconnect/

In summary:
Potentially a superb cable that I think needs a bit more time to settle. I feel no want to remove it (and that's after Albedo Metamorphosis). Praise indeed as far as I'm concerned.
